Friends of Hospice is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1988, providing direct assistance to hospice patients in the forms of medications, equipment, and caregiving. In the mid-1990’s, we extended these needed elements to include those who were not immediately life-threatening, but were suffering severe ailments.
Best known as Hospitality House, we have been operating a shelter for the homeless here since 1986. In recent years, the Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center has added additional services for the homeless and mentally ill in our community – including Transitional Housing projects, case management services, vocational services, mental health services, and more.
