A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) also known as community health centers, assure that healthcare is available to people in medically underserved areas and that people’s financial status will not prevent them from receiving the health services they need, including medical, dental, behavioral health and often, some specialty services.

Mendocino Coast Clinics offers both medical and behavioral treatment of depression and a wide variety of behavioral issues.
Mendocino Coast Clinics became an independent non-profit health center in 1994.
They begin to privatize the coastal public health office. A board of directors is established and an application for a new non- profit organization is submitted.
