Now more than ever, we need your help. Attacks on the Affordable Care Act, Medi-Cal, and federal funding for healthcare have made it more challenging than ever for health centers across California to continue to serve their communities, especially the most vulnerable populations.
At Mendocino Coast Clinics, we care for patients from every walk of life, at every stage of life, from birth into old age.
As state and federal funding decrease, your contribution can help us to bridge the financial gap and achieve our mission of providing quality, patient-centered health care to the coastal community.
In addition to clinical services, we assist patients who cannot afford to travel to see specialists outside of our area with gas vouchers and bus passes, allowing them to access these critical services. We also purchase medication and other essential items for those who need them. We are truly a patient-centered medical home.
Recently, donations from people like you helped us to buy much-needed pediatric equipment to better serve our community’s children. MCC is the only dental provider on the Mendocino Coast who accepts Medi-Cal, and we are currently seeking donations to help us build more dental operatories so we can treat the ever-increasing number of patients who need dental care.
WishYoo is the only greeting platform that contains a voice component, handwritten dedications, and a co-gifting feature, but what truly sets them apart is that WishYoos are from everyone. You can invite the entire world to sign the WishYoo Card you send to your family and friends. Try doing that with an e-card or paper card.
And best yet, you can donate the card fee to Mendocino Coast Clinics! Learn more about WishYoo cards here.
Since the State has given me a tax refund, I’m redirecting it to a place the tax dollars are being cut – my favorite clinic. Keep up the good work!
Dear Lucresha and all the other hard workers, Even better, the federal refund came, so here’s the other portion of the redirection. And best of all, as I write it appears that ACA may be saved after all. May healthcare for all be a reality.
Donations from people like you are vital to help Mendocino Coast Clinics achieve our Mission of providing quality healthcare to all Mendocino Coast residents, regardless of their ability to pay for services.
We are thankful for the strong support shown to us every year at our annual fundraiser, Crab, Wine, & Beer Days. This support comes from across the country, as people from a dozen states and all over California travel to attend our signature event, and strongly from our own community, especially our community partners.
At this year’s Crab Cake Cook-Off, the Circle of Claws reserved seating sold out almost immediately, and the general seating wasn’t far behind. Our Cioppino dinner was as popular as always, with the 6:00 seating selling out quickly.
The past two years have been very successful from a fundraising perspective. The Fund-the-Future campaign, in particular, has been very effective, thanks to our charismatic and tireless auctioneer, Sheriff Tom Allman!
In 2018, we were thrilled by the $15,000 donation from the Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund, which sparked the Fund-the-Future campaign to raise nearly $36,000 to help MCC open its fourth site, the Family Wellness Center. The Wellness Center opened in the summer of 2018 and is thriving, providing acupuncture, behavioral health services to children, and parenting and lactation education.
In 2019, the Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund doubled down on their impressive donation of the year before, donating $25,000 to kick off the Fund-the-Future campaign toward building new dental operatories, including facilities for pediatric patients. The campaign raised more than $58,000 toward this worthy cause. Plans are being drawn up now and we are expecting these operatories to become a reality later this year.
We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you for making dreams come true!
Late contributions provided for even more masks!
Then, a direct donation of 700 masks was delivered to MCC by a Fort Bragg supporter!
