The Registered Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing dental hygiene care and education to our dental clinic patients. This position will also provide outreach and educational presentations as appropriate.

Coordinates and manages a patient’s healthcare plan. They work with patients, families, and other medical professionals to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
Duties include:
1. Assessing new patients by gathering information. Reviewing diagnoses. Performs a part of the Welcome to Medicare meeting for new patients
2. Works with provider on the care plan and assisting to obtain the assistance the patient requires. Revises care plans based on patients’ progress and input from providers.
3. Works with patients, providers and other medical professionals to schedule appointments, implement treatment plans and ensures the patients receive the care they need
4. Educates patients and their families about treatment options.
5. Provides other healthcare services such as providing symptom management and offering emotional support.
Other duties include:
1. Enter, edit and update patient demographic and/or clinical information accurately to ensure quality data
2. Patient files: Maintain strict patient confidentiality; update immunization records and health maintenance flow sheets; enter all procedures done, such as blood draws, vital signs, wound irrigations, injections, etc. and sign document with full last name and title; and note all phone conversations in writing and sign.

Performs routine nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients. Provides triage services, providing professional nursing assessment and initiating nursing care to clients who call in or drop in for urgent care services in the Clinic. Determines the urgency of the patients presenting complaints and designates triage category and follow up.

Duties include providing prevention-oriented quality outpatient primary care to patients of Mendocino Coast Clinics, to include but not be limited to: Comprehensive history and physical exams, diagnoses, treatment and follow-up of illness and diseases, minor and urgent medical services. Mendocino Coast Clinics is looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated team!
The NP or PA provides primary care medical services to patients. This position reports to the Medical Director.
Qualifications: Valid California license and a valid Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation card.
