May is CalFresh Awareness Month! Did you know nearly 2 million people are eligible to receive CalFresh Food benefits but are not enrolled?
CalFresh is the statewide food benefit program that helps Californians buy more groceries with up to $835 of extra money each month for a family of four.
You may be eligible if you work full or part time, or are looking for work. You can have some income, own a home, or own a car and still be eligible.
The easy-to-use CalFresh Food benefits EBT debit card works at most grocery stores, in person and online, including stores like Safeway, Amazon, Walmart, and Trader Joe’s.
Your CalFresh benefits are doubled at the weekly Fort Bragg & Mendocino Certified Farmers Markets. Visit the information booth at the market to find out more.
