Local trainers Holly and Dakotah are putting the Zoom in Zumba! Just in time for those New Year’s resolutions, they are offering classes 6 days a week.
A schedule of classes is listed below, and they usually send a recording of classes as well, so you can dance on your own schedule. If you would like to preview a class for free, contact Dakotah at dakotahmendoza@yahoo.com and she will send you a link.
Note that some of our rural local internet connections do not always sync up to the music and moves, so you may want to try a class first to make sure there are no technical issues before you commit and pay.
The fee is $25-$50 a month. This is a sliding scale fee so students can pay whatever they feel comfortable with. Dakotah and Holly accept PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle or check by mail.
Schedule of Zumba+ Classes:
Monday (Holly) 12:00pm-Zumba
Tuesday (Dakotah) 9:30am-weights 10:00am-Zumba
Wednesday (Holly) 12:00pm-Zumba
Thursday (Dakotah) 9:30am-weights 10:00am-Zumba
Friday (Dakotah) 9:30am-strength training 10:00am-Zumba
Saturday (Holly) 10:00am-Zumba

Looking for something fun to do? We’ve got you covered! Join us for our very first virtual Crab, Wine & Beer Days on Saturday, January 30!
At this year’s event, award-winning chefs will create their delicious crab cakes right before your eyes via the magic of Zoom. You can cook along with them, using your own box of Made in Mendocino goodies shipped to your door before the event, or watch the recording later for inspiration and tips.
Online sales are open NOW:
We are hoping to raise $100,000 at this year’s event to help us continue to provide COVID-19 testing to our community. Each test can cost up to $100 with shipping and processing, so our goal is to fund 1,000 tests.
We will be accepting reservations until January 15 to allow us enough time for shipping your box of Made in Mendocino delicacies. The box should arrive around January 25 so you can cook along…
Mendocino County wines will be available to order and ship mid-January so you can sip along…
And get ready to sing along…
See you there!

It’s back!

We are starting our free, drive through COVID-19 surveillance testing again on Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons, starting January 6, 2021. This is testing for people who do not have symptoms.

There is no cost, you do not need to be a patient at MCC, and you do not need to leave your car to be tested.

Call us at 964-1251 to make an appointment. We are so glad to be providing this important service to our community again!

Like you, we’ve been doing our best to navigate through the wild ride of 2020, making a lot of changes, adjustments, and working hard to keep our patients and staff safe. We remain productive, healthy, and grateful that our patients continue to entrust us with their most precious possession: their health.

As we look back on this unforgettable year, we like to focus on the positive. We celebrated babies’ births and rejoiced in weddings. We were delighted that two amazing new providers, Dr. Jennifer Kreger and Physician Assistant Stefanie Forrester, joined the MCC team this year.

And although we can’t share our famous potlucks or have our salsa taste off or Halloween costume contest, we still have fun working together. There are still smiles and laughter in our clinic, and we still bring the #bestcareanywhere to our patients.

Here’s to our patients, staff, and community! And to a happy and healthy 2021!

Crab Days are coming!

Mendocino Coast Clinics’ 22nd annual fundraiser will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, streaming live at 12:00 noon on YouTube and Facebook Live from Little River Inn!

Instead of you coming to us in the Big White Tent, we are coming to your house this year – virtually, of course. It will be like our very own cooking show! Our friends at First 5 Mendocino have five new Triple P Mendocino County-Positive Parenting groups coming up in the new year. Many parents are having a difficult time managing behaviors during these strange and stressful times and Triple P groups are a great way to find new tips and tools as well as get support from other parents and highly trained facilitators. You are not alone!
If you are in touch with parents who could use some additional support, please share this post and/or the Triple P parent line at 463-1233. The office will be closed until Monday, January 4th, but they can leave a message and a staff member will get back to them as soon as possible.

It’s here!
The first of MCC’s staff had their first COVID-19 vaccinations today, including Medical Director Dr. Lawrence Goldyn, Executive Director Lucresha Renteria, our COVID-19 testing team of MA Justin Armour and LVN Maria Bermudez, and our

Coastal Street Medicine team of RN Bill Simon and Ana Toscano.
Dr. Goldyn said, “I am excited to receive my vaccination, and I’m confident in its safety and effectiveness. This is a turning point in the battle against COVID.”
In accordance with state and federal guidelines, the vaccines are being given first to medical personnel, as well as the staff and residents of assisted living facilities. Distribution will continue to follow this guidance. Click here for more information:
A huge thank you to Adventist Health for providing the space and staff to get us vaccinated! It’s a great partnership.
We are so glad to get the gift of hope, especially this time of year!
