#TeamMCC is having a great time at the Fort Bragg & Mendocino Certified Farmers Markets ! MCC Board Member Cindy Rusert and Patient Advocate Extraordinaire Albert Anderson are at the Fort Bragg farmers’ market every Wednesday in October.
They can help with voter registration, answer health insurance questions, and explain why MCC is asking our community to vote NO on Proposition 44.
Prop. 44 would require community health centers to spend at least 90% of their revenue on specifically defined program services. But running a clinic takes more than direct patient care. Buildings, technology, support staff, and other essential resources all help us care for our patients. We’re concerned this measure could lead to significant financial penalties, fewer services, and even clinic closures.
That’s why MCC is asking our community to vote NO on Prop. 44.
