It may be a short week here at MCC, but we are making it count! We’re jumping into the last week of the year with extra walk in clinic slots and COVID vaccines and testing.

We will have an extra walk in clinic on the morning of Tuesday, December 27, starting at 8:45 am. We will be giving COVID vaccines under the tent from 2:00 to 5:00 that day.

COVID testing is available under the tent Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Just drive up and we’ll take care of you.

Just a reminder that we will be closed on Monday, January 2, but we’ll be back in action on Tuesday, January 3 with COVID vaccines and testing. Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year!

Mendocino Coast Clinics will be closed on Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26 in observance of Christmas.

With all the colds, flus, and viruses going around lately, it’s only appropriate that this week is National Handwashing Awareness Week! It’s the perfect time to remember the importance of hand hygiene to help stop the spread of these seasonal illnesses. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, handwashing can prevent 1 in 5 infections, including the flu.

Experts recommend washing your hands with soap and clean water for at least 20 seconds. Follow these easy steps: Wet, lather, scrub, rinse, dry.

As for us, our team is under the tent from 9 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday, testing for COVID. Just drive on up and we will take care of you.

Tuesday afternoons, we are giving COVID vaccines from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, no appointment needed. These are the bivalent vaccines, which are targeted to be effective against the Omicron variant. If your child needs a COVID booster, call us at 964-1251 to get your little one scheduled.

Have fun and learn how to be prepared at a super fun event for all ages on Sunday, December 4 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Caspar Community Center. See you there!

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Our phones are temporarily down and calls are being forwarded to our answering service. Telecom is working on the situation and we hope the phones will be back up soon. We will keep you posted!

Blue Door (teen clinic) is closed this week for the holiday, both at Sequoia Circle and at the JD Center.

We will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25. We are closing at noon on Tuesday, November 29. There will be no vaccines that day. COVID testing will end at noon. We are having a staff meeting offsite that afternoon.

Tickets for our fabulous Crab Cake Cook Off are now on sale! They are going like hot cakes – or crab cakes – so grab yours here before they sell out!

Tickets are limited to 300 guests, seated at reserved tables in the Big White Tent on Saturday, February 4, where they will enjoy the most delicious crab cakes and wines the County has to offer.

This year, we are raising funds to equip two new exam rooms to help us serve more patients.
