What makes MCC such a great place to work? It’s a lot of things: having an amazing, talented team dedicated to excellence in patient care; having fun working together; and having a management team that encourages professional growth are a few of them. We are always looking for ways to let our employees know they are appreciated.

Recently, one of our Medical Assistants nominated MCC for an award for supporting our breastfeeding mothers at work, and we won! We are proud to provide a warm, welcoming place at work where our moms can get the privacy and comfort they need to support breastfeeding their babies. It’s just one of the many things we do to make working at MCC a happier and healthier experience!

Thank you to our friends at First 5 Mendocino for this wonderful award!

Happy Nurse Practitioner Week!

This week, we celebrate these special providers, who care for our community throughout the full cycle of life.

The NPs at our Sequoia Circle site care for pregnant patients, helping them to have the best experience as they prepare for this major, joyful life change. Once the baby is born, our pediatrics team steps in, to give little ones the best start in life. When they graduate from the pediatrics practice to primary care, our NPs take over to help them live healthier, happier lives.

Whatever stage you are at in life, our NPs have you covered with the #bestcareanywhere!

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁: Our receptionists are the (smiling) face of the clinic. They are the first people our patients see when they walk in the door, and we are proud of how highly our patients rate our receptionists’ courtesy and professionalism on our annual patient satisfaction surveys.

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗮𝘁: This is a great opportunity for a flexible, dependable team player to work in a fun, friendly, supportive environment. The Office Float performs a variety of duties, including working on special projects and covering for our reception staff as needed. This is a great way to start your career in healthcare, since you will learn about so many different departments.

𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁: Our Dental Assistants keep things humming in our busy dental clinic. They make every patient, from the youngest to the oldest, feel comfortable and cared for during their visit. We are willing to train the right person, even if they have no previous dental experience. If you are a team player who can multi-task, is a quick learner, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same, this could be a great fit for you.

𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁: Here at MCC, we believe our Medical Assistants are the heart of healthcare. They know how to multi-task and adapt to ever-changing needs. We have two openings for Medical Assistants to join our dedicated, caring team in a fun, supportive working environment. You have questions, we have answers!
𝗤: When are you giving COVID vaccines at MCC?
𝗔: Every Tuesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Just drive up to the tent on the north side of the clinic at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg.
𝗤: Do you have the new Moderna booster?
𝗔: Not yet. We are working on it, but we do not yet have a supply of Moderna.
It is safe and effective to mix and match your COVID vaccines, but we understand that some people might prefer to use the same brand for all their vaccines.
𝗤: I need a COVID test! How do I get one?
𝗔: Drive up to the tent any time from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and our staff will be happy to test you. These are rapid tests, with results in about 15 minutes.
𝗤: I need a PCR test. How do I get one?
𝗔: Drive up to the tent on Wednesday or Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to get a PCR test. Remember that these tests are shipped to a lab for processing, and it will take 48-72 hours to get the results. The lab will notify you directly of your results.
