Here’s what #teammcc is up to this week!

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆: Closed for Memorial Day.

𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆: Closed for staff meeting from 8:30-10:00 am. Open at 10:00 am. We will be giving vaccines as usual.

Free, drive-through COVID vaccines for anyone aged 12 and up from 2:00 to 5:00 pm under the tent. Moderna and Pfizer are both available. Pick an arm and pick a vaccine! It’s up to you.

𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆: Free, drive through COVID testing is available from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. PCR tests are available on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Remember, if you need us while we’re closed, just give us a call at 707 964 1251 and the on call provider will phone you back. We are always here for you, even on weekends and holidays.

Good morning! It’s a beautiful day here on the Coast. Let’s get this week started!

If you need a COVID test, we are here for you Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, no appointment needed. Just drive up to the tent at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg, and we’ll take care of it for you.

PCR tests are available on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm. These are processed at an outside lab. If you are tested on Wednesday, you will typically get results on Saturday, and if you are tested on Thursday, you will typically get results on Sunday. The lab will contact you directly.

We are giving free, drive-through COVID vaccines to anyone aged 12 and up on Tuesday from 2 pm to 5 pm. Your choice of Moderna or Pfizer. First and second doses and first and second boosters are all available.

If your child is under 12, call us at 964-1251 to get him or her scheduled for a vaccine.

𝗔𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: Now you can easily monitor your own blood pressure! Give us a call at (707) 964-1251 and we’ll get you set up, or ask the COVID team at the tent. It’s a great way to monitor this very important vital sign from the comfort of your own home.

We need at least a week to celebrate our wonderful nurses!

National Nurses Week is a week-long celebration, starting on May 6 each year. During this time, we thank our dedicated nurses for their hard work, compassion, and commitment to patient care.

We are very proud of the amazing nurses at MCC, especially since the COVID pandemic started.

In addition to the countless tasks they perform every day to take the #bestcareanywhere of our patients, MCC’s nurses have spent the past two years triaging, assessing, and testing people for COVID-19, as well as doing a heroic job of vaccinating our community. Now more than ever, we are deeply grateful to our nurses for all they do to keep us safe and well.

May is CalFresh Awareness Month! Did you know nearly 2 million people are eligible to receive CalFresh Food benefits but are not enrolled?

CalFresh is the statewide food benefit program that helps Californians buy more groceries with up to $835 of extra money each month for a family of four.

You may be eligible if you work full or part time, or are looking for work. You can have some income, own a home, or own a car and still be eligible.

The easy-to-use CalFresh Food benefits EBT debit card works at most grocery stores, in person and online, including stores like Safeway, Amazon, Walmart, and Trader Joe’s.

From Marvelous Monday to Fantastic Friday, we offer free, drive through rapid COVID tests from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the white tent at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg.

Terrific Tuesday is all about free, drive through COVID vaccines. They are available for anyone aged 12 and up, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Whether it’s your first time or your fourth time, we’ve got you covered! Just roll up to the white tent, roll up your sleeve, and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s all part of the #bestcareanywhere.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 30th, from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. Drop your unwanted and/or expired medications at the Fort Bragg Police Department at 250 Cypress Street. Vaping cartridges and devices are also accepted.
