On National Volunteer Appreciation Week, #TeamMCC would like to thank our other team…our team of volunteers!

These dedicated folks have made it possible for us to put on our fundraiser every year for more than 20 years, growing from a handful to a tent-ful! We couldn’t do it without you!

Need a vaccine? Whether it’s your first dose, second dose, or a booster, we’ve got you covered!

We are giving free, drive-through vaccines every Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 at the white tent at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg. Just drive on up and #teamMCC will take care of the rest.

Please follow traffic signs and directions, and don’t arrive early, since this causes longer lines and longer wait times for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and for getting your vaccine!

We have expanded our COVID vaccine hours on Tuesdays. We are now giving free, drive through vaccines at the tent from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Please don’t arrive early, and follow all traffic signs and directions to help things flow smoothly.

Naloxone can be used when someone is showing signs of opioid overdose. It is a nasal spray, and like Epi-Pens or a first-aid kit, having Naloxone readily available can be very helpful in a crisis. It is not a toxic drug and cannot be used to get high. Naloxone will not cause overdose, so when in doubt, use it. This short video explains how Naloxone works.

If we can act early when a person shows signs of an overdose, we can work quickly to help save a life.

Welcome to the week!

We will continue to do COVID testing Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. These are rapid tests, with results in 15 minutes. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, we are doing tests for people with no symptoms, and these are shipped out for processing. Results for these tests are usually available in 72 hours.

𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟮, 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟱:𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗺. We give vaccines every Tuesday, including boosters.

Please follow all traffic signage and instructions for the vaccine clinic on Tuesday, and please do not come early. This backs up traffic and makes for a longer wait for everyone. Thank you for your understanding.

Here’s what we’re up to at MCC this week:

We are happy to say that our walk-in clinic will be up and running again on Thursday, April 7 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am and Friday, April 8 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Check in with medical reception at 205 South Street.

We are doing COVID testing daily from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays are for testing people who do not have COVID symptoms. On Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, we are testing people who have symptoms.

We are giving COVID vaccines from 3:00 to 5:00 pm every Tuesday to anyone aged 12 and up. If your child is under 12, call us to make an appointment for vaccination. Anyone under the age of 18 needs parental consent to receive a vaccine.

For testing and vaccines, just drive up to white tent at 205 South Street and we’ll take care of you. Have a great week!

This week we are celebrating National Dental Hygienists Week and our own Registered Dental Hygienist, Kim Celeri! Kim takes the #bestcareanywhere of our patients, keeping their smiles bright and healthy.

Dental hygienists are highly educated and skilled primary care providers. Oral health is deeply connected to our overall health, and your hygienist is in a unique position to assess changes in your overall health as well as your dental health. Thank you, Kim, for all you do for our patients!

Happy Doctors’ Day to MCC’s amazing team of doctors, many of whom provide unique services to our unique community, starting with our Medical Director, Dr. Lawrence Goldyn. Not only has Dr. Goldyn led us through the COVID-19 pandemic with good sense and scientific knowledge, he is also the only HIV/AIDS specialist in the entire County, traveling far and wide to provide this important service.

Dr. Chris Robshaw is the only pediatrician on the Coast, taking the #bestcareanywhere of our community’s children from birth into the teenage years. Dr. Barbara Kilian provides LGBTQ+ services through her Open Door clinic, the only service like this on our Coast.

Dr. Jennifer Kreger sees patients in our Walk In Clinic on Thursday mornings and Friday afternoons, making sure that patients who need to be seen right away get expert care when they need it. She and her husband, Dr. Wade Gray, are also active in helping our rural community to be better prepared for natural and man-made disasters. In addition to primary care services, Dr. Gray is also licensed to provide Suboxone services to patients with opioid use disorder.
