Want to take better care of your health without leaving the house? Now you can! MCC is excited to offer free, at-home high blood pressure monitoring for our patients.
If you are an MCC patient and your healthcare provider has advised you to take your blood pressure at home, or if you’d just like to keep an eye on it, we are here to help! Call us at (707) 964-1251 or email us at info@mccinc.org to set up an appointment, to get a free blood pressure monitor and learn how to use it. You will need to have a valid email address and be able to connect to your smart phone or tablet with Bluetooth. This will wirelessly deliver your blood pressure readings to a secure website. Being in a familiar setting like your home often leads to more accurate results than in a doctor’s office, where many of us can feel a little nervous. So why not give it a try?
It’s really easy, and a great way to monitor this very important vital sign from the comfort of your own home. #bestcareanywhere

Happy Time Change Monday! The Mondayest Monday of the year! You woke up in the dark, feeling like you were already late…and maybe you were. But don’t worry, #teamMCC is here for you!

We are doing COVID testing from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm every day this week. We are reserving Wednesdays and Thursdays for testing people who have no COVID symptoms.
We are giving COVID vaccines from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesdays to anyone aged 12 and up. If your child is under 12, call us to make an appointment for vaccination. Anyone under the age of 18 needs parental consent to receive a vaccine.
Just drive on up to the tent at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg and we’ll take care of the rest. Have a good week!

Remember that extra hour of sleep you got back in November? That was just a loan, not a gift, and you’ll have to give it back on the appropriately unlucky 13th of March, when the clocks spring ahead an hour.
This is the tough time change, folks! But on the bright side, it will be brighter in the evenings, and they’ll keep getting longer as we move toward the solstice. Spring is here and summer’s coming!

March is National Nutrition Month, when we focus on the elements of a balanced diet and encourage healthy eating. And March 9 is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day, a day to recognize the impact these dedicated experts have on their communities.
We are lucky to have our very own RDN, Susie Macias. Susie can help you achieve your health goals, manage chronic conditions, and just feel healthier. Whether you need a quick check in or longer-term guidance, Susie is there to help. She will meet you where you are and help your body to work better for you. If you are a patient here at MCC, her services are free of charge. Call us at (707) 964-1251 to make an appointment.

Smile! We are celebrating our amazing dental staff this week! The first full week in March marks Dental Assistant Week and Dentist’s Day, a time to thank these caring, highly skilled professionals for all they do to keep our patients’ smiles brighter and healthier.
We appreciate our dental staff’s hard work, cheerful smiles, and the way they make every patient, from the youngest to the oldest, feel comfortable and cared for during their visit. #bestcareanywhere

We have PCR tests again! These tests work best for people who do not have symptoms. The samples are shipped to a central lab for processing. Results are usually available within 72 hours after they are received by the lab.
If you don’t have COVID symptoms and would like a PCR test, come and see us under the tent at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm any Wednesday or Thursday and we will take care of you.
If you do have symptoms, come by and see us any time under the tent and we will give you a rapid test, with results in about 15 minutes.
