No matter where you live in Mendocino County, you can get a free COVID-19 vaccine today, July 13!
MCC and other community health centers across the county are happy to participate in today’s county-wide free COVID-19 vaccine day.
No appointments or IDs are needed. Just drive up to the white tent on the north side of the clinic at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg and roll up your sleeve! Our friendly and experienced vaccine team is ready to vaccinate you from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 13.
If you still need your second dose, this is a great opportunity to get it done. Your protection against the highly contagious Delta variant, now the dominant strain of COVID in the US, is nearly 90% with 2 doses, but only about 30% with 1 dose. Protect yourself, your loved ones, your community, and get your vaccine today!

We are happy to announce that our suboxone group meetings have started up again!
??????? ?? ?:?? ?? ????? ????????, the group is a welcoming, non-judgmental place for our patients who are currently in our suboxone program to meet with others who are in recovery from opiate use disorder or working toward it. Our staff will give you tools to help prevent relapses and keep you safe.
No appointment is needed – just come by when you’re ready, and we’ll be glad to see you! Newcomers are always welcome.
The meetings take place on the west side of the clinic, at the Administration/Behavioral Health entrance of 205 South Street in Fort Bragg. We are right behind the blue County buildings.

We are always glad to hear from our patients, but it’s especially nice to get a compliment for our hard-working reception staff. No matter how busy they are, they take the time to make sure our patients’ needs are met.
Yesterday, we received this lovely thank you note complimenting our receptionist Jessica Henderson:
I just want to drop a note of thanks and appreciation for Jessica Henderson, the receptionist at Window #4. Jessica was so thorough and warm, and also helped me to get set up with a new practitioner. I’m so glad to again be a patient at MCC! All best to you and Jessica H.” – Margaret
Thank you, Jessica, for once again showing how much we care for our patients!

We are kicking off our Tuesdays in the Tent TODAY, July 6!
Every Tuesday in July from 4:00 to 6:00, we will be giving free drive through COVID-19 vaccines to anyone and everyone. You don’t need ID, you don’t have to be an MCC patient, and you don’t need an appointment. All you have to do is roll up your sleeve!
If you can’t make it today, we are also giving free vaccines on Friday, July 9, starting at 4:00.
Still need that second dose? It’s never too late to get it! Come to any of our vaccine events and we’ll get you that all-important second shot. Remember: if you have one shot, you have about 30% immunity to the Delta variant, but if you have both shots, your immunity is close to 90%. Those are great odds!
So come and see us! We’re at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg. Just drive up to the tent on the north side of clinic and we’ll take good care of you. Here’s to a healthy and happy summer!

Happy birthday, MCC!
On July 1, 1994, MCC was born! We looked a little different back then. We had one location, 7 employees, a budget of $400,000, and about 2,500 patients.
27 years later, we have four locations (and growing – stay tuned for news on that) and 120 employees. Fun fact: one of the original 7 employees still works here. You may have heard her on The Coast KOZT radio today and every Thursday at 9:30 am with the weekly Health Report – it’s MCC’s Executive Director, Lucresha Renteria!
Our budget has grown to about $13 million, and we now serve close to 10,000 patients. We are honored to care for this community with the #bestcareanywhere!

Just a heads up that we will be closing at 5:00 on Friday, June 25 so we can update our electronic health record. That’s the computer system that stores your medical chart.

As always, if you need us when we’re closed, just call 964-1251 and the answering service will have our on call provider call you right back. We are always here for you, 24/7/365!

As part of the upgrade, we will be rolling out a new patient portal. As a reminder, if you have an existing patient portal account, you will not be able to access it after 3:00 pm on June 25. Your test results, medications, and vitals will transition to the new portal.  If you want to keep documents or messages in your inbox from the old Portal, you will have to download them before June 25.

During the week of June 28, you will receive a link from us at the email address we have on file for you. The link will take you to the new patient portal.

We will open as usual at 7:30 on Monday, June 28. Have a happy weekend!
