Here are the winners of our Halloween costume contest. There were so many amazing entries that we ended up with a tie for second place!

First place winners were the team at our Sequoia Circle location, dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Our second place tie was our Pediatrics team as Super Mario characters and our primary care team as characters from the Barbie movie.

Our administration team was in third place as a multi-pack of Coke.

We love the creativity and fun of these costumes. We are already looking forward to (and planning for) next year!

Aquí están los ganadores de nuestro concurso de disfraces de Halloween. ¡Hubieron tantas participaciónes increíbles que terminamos con un empate por el segundo lugar!

Los ganadores del primer lugar fueron el equipo de nuestra ubicación de Sequoia Circle, vestidos como personajes de Alicia En El País De Las Maravillas.

En segundo lugar empataron nuestro equipo de Pediatría como personajes de Super Mario y nuestro equipo de atención primaria como personajes de la película Barbie.

Nuestro equipo administrativo quedó en tercer lugar como multi-paquete de Coca-Cola.

Nos encanta la creatividad y diversión de estos disfraces. ¡Ya estamos esperando (y planificando) para el próximo año!

Happy MA Week to the #bestmasanywhere! This week, we celebrate our amazing Medical Assistants and the countless things they do every day to give our patients the #bestcareanywhere!

They keep our busy clinics humming and are tireless in their dedication to caring for our patients and our community, all with a smile and a positive attitude. We love our team! Thank you to our MAs for giving the #bestcareanywhere this week and every week.

We have even more reasons to celebrate this PA Week with the arrival of Nate Lane, PA, who recently moved from Huntington Beach to join our medical team at South Street. Nate received his PA degree from the University of Oklahoma. Welcome, Nate!

Nate joins our dedicated and longstanding PA, James Thomas, who divides his time between primary care and behavioral health.

Not pictured is recurring guest star Debra Tomaszewski, who fills in at our South Street medical clinic when coverage is needed. We appreciate her many contributions to our team, and we are hoping she will be back in the new year.

We are so lucky to have these amazing clinicians on our staff. Happy PA Week to PAs everywhere, but especially to the best PAs anywhere, who always give the #bestcareanywhere to MCC’s patients! #PAWeek

September 25 is National Psychotherapy Day! We are proud of our team of dedicated and compassionate therapists, who have helped our patients through COVID and beyond. Remember, counseling/therapy isn’t just for times when life seems tough….it can be preventive in nature, too. It can help you learn more about yourself, your relationships, and your visions for your life.

We love a parade! #teamMCC had a blast at the Paul Bunyan Days parade. We even won the first place prize in the Original/Restored category!

It was so fun to be together, hand out gifts to the crowd, and be part of this great local tradition. We were both humbled and delighted by the cheering and applause.

This year, we rode in style in a vintage firetruck, decorated by our staff and piloted by Rich Jung, RN (and volunteer fireman). It was a day we’ll never forget!

We are closed on Monday, September 4 in honor of Labor Day. We will reopen Tuesday, September 5.

Every year, we survey our patients to find out how we’re doing, and we were happy to learn that our patients appreciate our efforts and the care they get at MCC.

Overall, our patients rated us 9.3 out of 10, and 98% of our patients would recommend MCC to their family and friends. Some of the comments we received were:

There are a couple of special events this week. On Wednesday, August 23, MCC is hosting a free NARCAN training outside our main entrance at 205 South Street from 10:00 am to noon. Stop by and learn how you can save a life, and get a free NARCAN to take with you!

Our friends from Vitalant will be in Fort Bragg for a blood drive on August 23 and 24. They will be at the Presbyterian Church hall at 367 S. Sanderson Way from 1:00 to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 23, and 10:00 am to 1:45 pm on Thursday, August 24. It’s quick and easy, and you’ll be helping people in need.

As for #TeamMCC, we’ll be giving free, drive-through COVID vaccines on Tuesday, and free drive-through rapid COVID tests are available from 9 am to 1:00, Monday through Friday. Just drive on up to the white tent at 205 South Street in Fort Bragg.

Hay un par de eventos especiales esta semana. El miércoles 23 de agosto, MCC realizará una capacitación NARCAN gratuita frente a nuestra entrada principal en 205 South Street de 10:00 a. m. al mediodía. ¡Pase y aprenda cómo puede salvar una vida, y obtenga un NARCAN gratis para llevar con usted!

Nuestros amigos de Vitalant estarán en Fort Bragg para una campaña de donación de sangre el 23 y 24 de agosto. Estarán en el salón de la Iglesia Presbiteriana en 367 S. Sanderson Way de 1:00 p. m. a 5:30 p. m. el miércoles 23 y 10 de agosto y de 10:00 am a 1:45 pm el jueves 24 de agosto. Es rápido y fácil, y estará ayudando a las personas que lo necesitan.

MCC will be hosting a free training on how to administer Naloxone (Narcan) to help reverse an opioid overdose. The training takes less than 10 minutes and is available in English and Spanish. It will be held outside the medical lobby entrance at MCC’s 205 South Street location on Wednesday, August 23 from 10:00 am to noon. Participants will receive Naloxone to take home free of charge.

This training will also be available at the Farmers’ Market that day from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

MCC organizará una capacitación gratuita sobre cómo administrar naloxona (Narcan) para ayudar a revertir una sobredosis de opioides. La capacitación toma menos de 10 minutos y está disponible en inglés y español. Se llevará a cabo fuera de la entrada principa) de nuestra ubicación en 205 South Street el miércoles 23 de agosto de 10:00 a. m. al mediodía. Los participantes recibirán naloxona gratis para llevar a casa.
