Feeling Stressed?

Many of us are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed these days. Here are some coping strategies to try from theย Anxiety and Depression Association of America:

๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ-๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜. Practice yoga, listen to music, meditate, get a massage, or take a walk around the block. Stepping back from the problem helps clear your head.

๐—˜๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น-๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜€. Try not to skip any meals, and keep healthful, energy-boosting snacks on hand.

๐—š๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ต ๐˜€๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ. When stressed, your body needs additional sleep and rest.

๐—˜๐˜…๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐˜† to help you feel good and maintain your health.

๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ต๐˜€. Inhale and exhale slowly. Count to 10 slowly. Repeat, and count to 20 if necessary.

๐——๐—ผ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜. Instead of aiming for perfection, which isn’t possible, be proud of however close you get.

๐—”๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐˜ that you cannot control everything.

๐—ช๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ต๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฟ. A good laugh goes a long way.

๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฎ ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ฒ. Make an effort to replace negative thoughts with positive ones.

๐—š๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜ƒ๐—ผ๐—น๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ. Volunteer or find another way to be active in your community, which creates a support network and gives you a break from everyday stress.

๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ธ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ. Tell friends and family youโ€™re feeling overwhelmed, and let them know how they can help you. Talk to a physician or therapist for professional help.
