Here at MCC, we are proud to serve our community in so many ways, from medical and dental services to outreach services and specialty services, like chiropractic and acupuncture. Our focus over the past 10 months has been providing COVID-19 testing to people with symptoms and without, and we will continue to do so as long as it is needed in our community.
But testing comes at a cost of nearly $100 per test, at a time when we are being paid about half our normal rate for telephone and telehealth visits, the way we must see most of our patients to keep everyone healthy and safe.
We are hoping to raise $100,000 to cover the cost of just 1,000 of these vital tests. Here’s how you can help us meet this goal.
1. Donate here to our campaign to keep our testing program going as long as it’s needed in our community:
Just scroll to the bottom of the page. Every little bit helps us toward our goal!
2. Purchase some cute (and useful!) Crab gear:
Fun and comfy year round, pick up a cozy sweatshirt or a long-sleeved t-shirt, perfect for layering in our unpredictable coastal climate. Buy it for yourself or someone you love!
3. Sign up to attend our virtual fundraiser on Saturday, January 30 at noon:
You’ll receive a box of made in Mendocino goodies, including crab, so you can cook crab cakes at our online Crab, Wine & Beer Days. Watch award-winning chefs create crab cake masterpieces before your very eyes! Boxes can be shipped to you or picked up at the Clinic. Pair your crab cakes with Mendocino wines for an unforgettable afternoon.
